WE ARE PALI was born from the inspiration of two powerful influences in my life. It seemed only natural to join them together and form what seems to me a perfect union. Handala, the powerful character created by the late cartoonist Naji Al Ali, has become an icon of Palestinian defiance and resistance. And PCRF, a most respected charitable organization formed to address the medical and humanitarian crisis facing youth in the Middle East and providing them with free medical care.
It seemed only natural to join Handala and PCRF together in what seems to me a perfect union.
Naji Al Ali described Handala as "a simple yet tough child", a suitable description for those being served by PCRF.
These powerful influences embody a function of charity in their own way. My goal with WE ARE PALI is to join forces by contributing a portion of the sales to help fund PCRF and their mission while paying tribute to Naji Al Ali.
